For some reason, YWN doesn’t consider the murder of Alberto Nisman as newsworthy as the weather. For those of you who get all your news from YWN, Alberto Nisman was a prosecutor who was investigating the bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires in 1994 in which 85 people were killed. He linked Iran to this act of terrorism. Recently, he accused the president of Argentina of conspiring to whitewash Iran’s role in exchange for trade with Iran. The day before he was due to present his report to the Argentine Congress, he was shot and killed. The president initially said it was suicide and later backtracked, but denied any involvement. Now the prosecutor who inherited the case has said he will proceed with the investigation.
