I really don’t get why we need to be subjected repeatedly to all the internal behind the scenes background noises from the mods that keeps resulting in constant unpleasentness. This guy is a mechallel shabbos, that guy has 5 screennames, the other guy is a troll, he defended her so he really is her, AYC is phishing so lets virtually beat him up real bad for a few weeks, oops that’s a total mistake -for the second time no less- lets apoogize and beg he comes back, suuurely he has no reason to worry we’ll mess up on him a third time and accuse him of being a serial murderer. Yada yada yada.

Can we all stop beating up on everyone. If some administrative issue needs to be addressed, let the mods discuss it privately and delete or email someone or even block without posting public accusations for everyone to get involved in?? I’m sure we’ve lost more posters than we know because this keeps happening. I stopped myself when the ayc saga and all its ugliness. Lets keep this pace pleasent and keep everything else out of public consumption.

awesome post – can we include all the posters who feel it is okay to put down everyone who they feel is doing that? It sounds like you are only commenting about the ones pointing out the trolls, how about the ones who feel free to berate them and anyone who sides with them? I have found that to be even harder to listen to.

    I agree 100%

however I feel we should weed out trolls,

don’t you find it strange that someone has to do that, in the CR no less

I guess that means that i only agree 95%

I don’t think everything needs to be blamed on the mods/administration. I’m pretty sure there was some help (or more than just some) from the posters here as well.

Before we accuse others, let’s look at ourselves and make sure we haven’t involved ourselves in the things that seem to be bothering others.

My personal opinion, no one has to agree with me.

Agree with happiest. I think stuff does get taken care of behind the scenes and while I don’t love it, I trust the mods.

As a side point, without mentioning names, there are several posters who seem to think their posts should be regarded as Torah and they get the right to give an opinion on anyone and anything.

(To someone reading this it probably makes no sense but to me it does. Its more than one person.)

    cantgetit, is this round two?

Clearly, there are those who liked it better when the problems were swept under the carpet, and the stalkers, harassers, blackmailers, et al had free reign, and their victims were intimidated into silence. And they are unhappy about their victims saying “enough is enough”. Many Penn State Alumni are upset about the victims coming forward as well.

This time, however, I really wasn’t trying to stir up anything- I just asked a simple question. Then I get brutally attacked for it by various troll sn’s, and then the troll starts a thread like this under a different sn blaming me for the unpleasantness unleashed by his other sn’s. This has happened before. I guess the idea is to teach my to learn my lesson, and to intimidate me into silence so the stalking, harassing, etc can resume. Not happening.

    Who are you cantgetit??????

You have become very heimish very quick for being someone I don’t remember seeing around.

    What is your other screenname??

kolel101, if someone wants to be anon, let him be.

Jothar, it’s not your message that I [and I assume others] object to, it’s your method. A little too much of the ‘sledge hammer’. We’ve discussed all this already.
