So I had a meeting in downtown Chicago this morning, and then another one this evening. I had a few hours to kill, so I wandered into a Westin to get some quiet.
I went into the lower level, and actually lay down on the floor in a side hallway like some homeless guy. Except I was wearing a suit and carrying a computer.
Then, I found a couch and actually fell asleep.
People passed by and nobody commented or asked me if I belonged here. Amazing.
Now, I’m sitting in the lobby using wifi and drinking seltzer from the bar.
So, nap, seltzer, and wifi. All for $3
What is the $3 fee for?
$3 for seltzer? Ganovim.
In Manhattan they’re bigger ganovim.

And if you were wearing the levush, you could have gone to the Rebbe’s tish. An important lesson learned you have , young padawan. Appearances count. If youlook like you belong, you do belong.
Looking like you belong is one thing- add a couple of ounces of confidence and they start treating you like a king…

This past Monday, the internet was down in my house. I spent the day in Starbucks, drinking coffee (first cup 1.63 small 2.12 medium reefills 50 cents). For under 5 bucks, I had internet all day plus coffee.
Without a suit.
Well Eman, you’re lucky that the Starbucks gave you an outlet to plug in your laptop. Many no longer do.
Ok, pba, so what have you done in a suit today?
Next time skip the nap and go to the Art Institute.

It’s true. You can get away with a ridiculous amount.
What else can you get away with?
I am just finding out how many really cool places there are to hang out, when dragged to a mall, or shipping in the city.
My latest favorite? Hollister on 5th ave. 50ft screen showing Long Beach, CA. And those arm chairs? A real vacation!
