November 13, 2025 5:23 pm at 5:23 pm #2471429akupermaParticipantTo many, the low dollar internationally is a feature not a bug. If you are selling American goods or working abroad, it means earning more money. If you are buying imported goods it is bad.
Inflation was much higher under Biden, and much higher during the period of Johnson thru Reagan, until Reagan brough the inflation down where it stayed until Biden had two years with complete control of the government.
Israel is hardly being thrown under the bus, yet, and certainly not for Turkey which under current management is anti-western, anti-American, anti-Jewish and seemingly aspiring to restore the Ottoman Empire.
Bris Milah has always been under attack, primarily by secularists with Jewish ancestry. This will resolve itself since non-frum Jews have a minimal birthrate and when the boomers start dying off, our OTD cousins will have no replacements and will go the way of the Dodo and the Passenger Pigeon.
Vaccinations are under attack due to dumb scientists (and their social media supporters). who exaggerated Covid19 (it rarely is serious with most “victims” never realizing they had, primarily killed only old people (which is true of most diseases), the vaccine that was purported to being “safe and effective” had common side effects that were far worse than other vaccines and didn’t prevent getting the disease, though it did reduce the already low chance of dying from it.
If you want a real “horror story”, imagine you were born near the end of the 19th century a citizen of the constitutional monarchy of Germany, and when you were born, all you had to look forward to was life in a world of peace, technical progresses and ethnic and religious toleration. It didn’t really work out.
So stop the whining. There are real problems to deal with, and you appear ignorant of all of them.

Severe TDS?The prior administration printed trillions of dollars. The effects of that don’t magically disappear in a new administration, but their policies seem to be at least helping, biEzras Hashem.
Israel “under the bus”? The current administration sent its own forces and equipment to destroy Iran’s nuclear program.
Bris Milah is under attack where?
Vaccinations are still required as before.Severe TDS.
November 13, 2025 5:23 pm at 5:23 pm #2471459Sam KleinParticipantSo if the situation is this bad will we FACE REALITY and accept Hashem’s wake up call for serious Teshuva and Achdus together as one loving nation so Hashem can send Mashiach already b’karov?
NOTHING IS COINCIDENCE everything has a message DIRECTLY FROM HASHEM with a wake-up call through it sometimes for Teshuva other times for tznius and other times for nosei b’ol of feeling the pain of our brethren and just going on with life and ignoring it when SEVEN INNOCENT BOCHURIM are niftar in horrific tragedies hitting klal yisroel in just 2 months were supposed to immediately wake up to serious Teshuva Kinnus and Taanis like we did in the story of Purim which saved klal yisroel because they woke up and FACED REALITY and saw that their lives and the entire klal yisroel was in danger from Haman. And they IMMEDIATELY WOKE UP TO TESHUVA and were boruch Hashem saved because of it and were alive today because of that.
November 13, 2025 5:24 pm at 5:24 pm #2471843@fakenewsParticipantThe dollar at its lowest in half a century-that has been true for quite a while. You could have said that many times over the last number of years.
Inflation at its highest-not true it was higher a couple of years ago and in the seventies as well. The current rate is just under 3% which is almost perfect.
Israel thrown under the bus and being replaced by Turkey-not true
Bris Milah under attack-not quite. The whole headline was a farce. The claim being made was about acetaminophen for infants (Tylenol discontinued their infants line a long time ago), with circumcision (not Bris Milah, there is a difference) being given as an example.
Vaccinations under attack-sort of true
Well I say……Make America Bad Again-you’re entitled to your opinions

November 14, 2025 9:05 am at 9:05 am #2472048mdd1ParticipantAkuperma, COVID killed mostly older (including enough people in their 40-s) and people with medical conditions? But we want those to live also, right? Not only the unborn babies. The vaccine side-effects? Who told you about them? And, yea, the doctors and the scientists do not know what they are talking about. Only the conservatives with no medical degree do. STOP repeating the wicked conservative distortions!!!
November 15, 2025 8:58 pm at 8:58 pm #2472148SQUARE_ROOTParticipantDuring the 4 years that senile Joe Biden was USA President,
the American dollar list 31% of its value. But please, don’t blame Joe Biden for that,
because he and his auto-pen were being controlled
by ex-President Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton. The Democratic Party chose Joe Biden to be President,
because he was already senile,
and could therefore be easily controlled
by ex-President Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton.November 19, 2025 10:05 am at 10:05 am #2473917ParticipantParticipant“To many, the low dollar internationally is a feature not a bug.”
True. And to many, increased theft would also be a feature and not a bug.
I’m advocating for the “America” part of MAGA.“Israel is hardly being thrown under the bus,”
I can’t think of any other term for this deal trump forced them into, and the subsequent treatment of enforcing [Hamas’s side of] the deal.“and certainly not for Turkey” It was on Turkey’s demands that Trump’s eidem insisted Israel help 200 terrorists. Trump is trying to swap Israel with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and of course Qatar, to be the anti-Iran allies of America.
“Bris Milah has always been under attack, primarily by secularists with Jewish ancestry. This will resolve itself since non-frum Jews have a minimal birthrate and when the boomers start dying off, our OTD cousins will have no replacements and will go the way of the Dodo and the Passenger Pigeon.”
Well, RFK is not Jewish, so I don’t know what relevancy this has.“If you want a real “horror story”, imagine you were born near the end of the 19th century a citizen of the constitutional monarchy of Germany, and when you were born, all you had to look forward to was life in a world of peace, technical progresses and ethnic and religious toleration. I’m actually not a prophet; I was commenting on the current state of America. If you know the future, by all means please tell us.November 19, 2025 10:05 am at 10:05 am #2473921ParticipantParticipantInflation was certainly higher under biden and other times. I should have better pointed out Trump’s tariffs causing inflation, rather than falsely accuse him of inflation at its highest.
November 19, 2025 9:47 pm at 9:47 pm #2474631@fakenewsParticipant@Participant: I’m only going to address two of your counter-responses.
You say that RFK is not Jewish, so there is no relevancy.
But, as I pointed out, RFK is not attacking milah. That was a misstatement that was walked back in a statement made to the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce.
The actual claim being made was about acetaminophen for infants (Tylenol discontinued their infants line a long time ago), with circumcision (not Bris Milah, there is a difference in after care) being given as an example.Your point about tariffs causing inflation rings hollow, since inflation is barely above the targeted rate.

I suggest going to your local library to peruse WSJ. It has a lovely discussion over last several months on whether this is actually the case. Turns out:
1) empirical data is inconclusive
2) tariffs are not static, they are being updated as we speak, many are being reduced and effect changes
3) and, most obvious, it is pure avoda zora to worship just one part of the issue. The tariffs are in place to (a) change long-term economic relationships, (b) affect power relationships with enemies. -
