The growing number of shomrei shabbos is getting totally out of hand. IN Europe, due to haskala and economic difficulty, the number of Shomrei Shabbos was declining. Why are we reversing that trend? American meshugassen!!

In Europe, the men knew a little bit of Ein Yaakov, and the women some Tzena Urena. Why do so many people send so much time learning? They should work more, because thats what they’re meshabed themselves to do in the kesuba!

Actually the reason for this is higher birth survival rates
Its not unusual to see a Charedi family with more than 10 kids and all survive to adulthood.
In the olden days the women would get pregnant the same number of times but many of the kids did not survive to adulthood.
Secular jews are not having many kids and if they are , they many times are married to non-jews so the kids arent being brought us as jewish.
I belive in the UK , Israel and the US the majority of Jewish Births are from Charedim now.

And really the men don’t know Ein yaakov unless it’s an Artscroll.
