i cannot afford to get 2 newspapers should i get the ami or mishpachah

Neither of them are newspapers. Their both magazines. There’s a big difference between newspapers and magazines in lots of ways from the size to the style of reading etc…. Make sure that your aware of that before choosing any of your choices or you might want to change to a newspaper which is what you originally wrote.
May you enjoy what you choose and make the right choice but in truth for each person for different reasons newspaper a is better then b or vice versa for them

Ami is the best, much more interesting and had its own whitehouse correspondent, and business articles which are incredibly interesting, also it has a Beis din called column with real life cases ppl submit

Are you trying to see which magazine gets the most votes or do you want to know the differences between them? In my opinion, Ami is more sensationalist and tries elicit strong reactions either pro or anti, while Mishpacha is more “family friendly” and tries to make everyone happy and feel good. Which one to buy is a matter of personal preference.
make a deal with your neighbor , each can buy one and swap if you really want both .
Subscribe to either one and find someone who gets the other and swap after shabbos.
Ami used to have a lot of articles about yiddishkeit but then they turned into a magazine about Business and Politics. Much of the content cannot be read on Shabbos.

I haven’t seen it in stores (in the uk) for what feels like at least half a year@ujm nailed it. Neither.
