would anyone know if I have the super of my building party in the backyard every shabbos-sunday with friends and family, has a swimming pool, barbecue, and blasting music… is it considered a violation for unauthorised amplified sound? or is a permit only needed for equipment bigger than a typical stereo? (there is a big shul with windows to the backyard-they had to cover up their windows for tznius reasons) I complained to my landlord thats its disturbing my shabbos afternoon naps but the problem wasnt taken care of…
i also live in a building with a noisy neighbor, what are my rights? does anyone know? thanks
You need to call 311 and file a noise complaint. The police cant help you and 311 will take about two weeks before they even look at the case.
