anybody know the notes (piano, flute, saxaphone, clarinet) for any pretty jewish song????
please post here!!!
June 12, 2011 2:58 am at 2:58 am #776071MiddlePathParticipantYou can find the chords for many Jewish songs at jewishguitarchords.com. Although, I have found quite a few of them to be incorrect, but the majority are good. These chords work for any instrument.
A little tip: As long as you can play an Am, C, Dm, Em, and G, you can pretty much play any Jewish song.

June 12, 2011 4:07 am at 4:07 am #776074oomisParticipantI cannot write musical notes, but for the piano, right hand (you’re on your own with the left -too much trouble to do that part here) for “Y’simcha Elokim K’Efraim…”
C stands for Middle C and c stands for high c
gg fefg ggaC CdCdag gagafgfeged (2x)
cdcbabcd cbcbab
cdcbabcdcbca babcd
fe dfe dffcac agba Ccbca bg (2x)
I am no music transcriber, but I think this seems right. I didn’t have the piano nearby, so I played it in my head. There is also an intro to this song, but I am not 100% sure of how it goes.

I’m not so much into music but maybe “Am, C, Dm, Em, and G” won’t get you far on a flute, saxophone or clarinet.

You can alternatively use my notation format:

June 12, 2011 2:38 pm at 2:38 pm #776077MiddlePathParticipantZeesKite,I apologize. It is true that chords only work for string and keyboard instruments. Forgive me for saying “any” instrument. Since I play the guitar and piano, I get a little oblivious to the notion that there are other instruments out there.
June 12, 2011 3:36 pm at 3:36 pm #776078Mother in IsraelMemberI play the guitar and the piano too. We have a few other musicians in the house who play other instruments though. My daughter plays the oboe, my son plays the saxophone, another daughter plays the violin, another son plays the clarinet, and the 2-year-old plays the pots and pans. The 1-month-old is the vocalist.
June 12, 2011 3:42 pm at 3:42 pm #776079ZeesKiteParticipantI just don’t get the question. If someone had an “ear” for music, why the need for notes?
June 12, 2011 4:56 pm at 4:56 pm #776080HaLeiViParticipantAfter trying the clarinet, I started wondering if I just don’t have an air for music.
June 12, 2011 11:35 pm at 11:35 pm #776081bezalelParticipantIt is true that chords only work for string and keyboard instruments.
There are a number of other instrumens that can play chords but the only wind instument thay I can think of is a harmonica.
