For the 4th time in 2 months I have no home phone. 3 out of the four times it took a full week for Verizon to come down & fix the problem, anyone else have such an experience? Any eitzos?

(Did anyone hear that the Verizon technicians, instead of fixing the problem, they pull out one person’s line and give it to the one who is having a problem. I know it sounds outragageous, but it might explain why my neighbors & I take turns not having service!!!???)

It’s interesting that you say that because I had a very similar experience. I have also heard that rumor & believe it as fact. How can they be stopped???

BTW did you ever consider using a Jewish company?

I did at one point have a jewish phone company. Ever time it rained I lost my phone line!!!!!!!!

They were even slower with fixing the problem!

we’re using a Jewish company. they made an error & Verizon shut off our phone & the next day, our internet. the phone was turned back on the next day; the internet took TWO FULL WEEKS to be restored!!! my husband said Verizon was giving us a hard time because we weren’t dealing directly with them. he said they used to do that with IDT in the past, too (he was associated with IDT).

Even if you use another compeny its only for the service, the lines are still owned and opperated by Verizon.

I heard that there are differences between the lines (I am not familiar with what is going on up on those polls, but I heard from an agent for Exchang that the lines are not exactly the same) It must be the case because I lost my line every time it rained with the jewish company but I don’t have this with Verizon.

Yes Yitz- what an old problem. No, your not alone with this issue, and I don’t think you can help it.

The only solution is to open a new company and put up your own lines.
