When was the last time you sat down and thought about your life and where it was headed?
When was the last time you asked yourself what you could work on?
When was the last time you accomplished a goal you set for yourself that week?
Do you set goals?
Are you coasting through life?
What’s your Mehalech in reagrds to accomplishments in life and making your time in Olam Haze mean something and different than your fellow yid?
January 3, 2011 5:50 am at 5:50 am #723804OfcourseMemberWow, what a great post! I think everyone tries to analyze their life, actions, G-d given talents and the effect they have and could have on others and the world. Some see it with more clarity and are therefore able to adapt and modify as they go along.
Some of the best people I know, privately “move mountains”, and dont look for notoriety. They dont need it, they dont want it. If we would try to emulate those, the world would be a better place.

January 3, 2011 11:21 am at 11:21 am #723806eclipseMemberThis is just my opinion,not forcing it on anybody…
At night,we are supposed to think about that a bit,I learned.
Review the day in your mind, etc. If falling asleep exhausted, then can be done when traveling, waiting, etc.
Not to the point where it interferes with simcha, however–can’t get bogged down, just think enough to keep yourself in check.
Like reporting to your “internal mashgiach”,so to speak.
But DO NOT OVERDO it.People who go too far “get down”.
THOSE WHO DON’T DO IT AT ALL WILL NOT MAKE THE BEST USE OF OUR LIMITED TIME HERE IN THIS WORLD.–caps for emphasis, not shouting:)
