When Andy Coumo spoke out about someone accused of sexual harresment he had no problem throwing that person under the bus so to speak and who cared about due process, now that the shoe is on the other foot in his classless farewell address he spent most of the time whining about the lack of due process and the rest saying how great he was.

Same holds true Al Franken, David Wu and Eric Massa just to name a few, they yell zero tolerance and when they cought they complain about the lack of due process.

Bill de Blazio always saying how is the labor mayor and busy with getting the working people into unions now violates the union contracts by forceing employees to vacinate.

    Gotta love these two facers

Cuomo and Franken resigned after pressure from the left. Trump is still the leader of the GQP.

Arrogance and hypocrisy… I think those words do not mean what you think they mean.

    Liberals=hypocrites.

OrechDin Lets be clear here, the left didn’t force cuomo out of office because of these allegations, they didn’t force him out of office because he killed thousands in the nursing homes and covered it up. They forced him out of office because he wasn’t “progressive” enough for them.

Coumo resigned from pressure from the left- that pressure came from the AG because of her own political ambitious and because she cared about the victims of abuse. She certainly doesn’t care about the tens of thousands of murdererd elderly.

@orechdin, The left is 1/2 of the Democart party in NYS not enough power to do anything by it self and even less power in the US Senate, the pressure from the left alone was not enough to do diddly, Franken was always a far left nutjob and Cuomo was taking hard left in recent years those are the left wing hypocrites.

Being that you live in Israel English may not be your first lanaguge, so for your reference I am providing the definition of Arrogance and Hyprocisy.

“The act or habit of arrogating, or making undue claims in an overbearing manner; that species of pride which consists in exorbitant claims of rank, dignity, estimation, or power, or which exalts the worth or importance of the person to an undue degree; proud contempt of others; lordliness; haughtiness; self-assumption; presumption.”

“The practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform”

Cuomo was forced out for one reason. He had accumulated so much garbage that it didn’t all fit under the rug anymore. It wasn’t the nursing homes or his morality or lack thereof. It wasn’t his political stance on anything. It was just costing too much political capital to cover for him, so he was hung out to dry.

With all respect, arrogance and hypocrisy have become fundamental attributes for politicians on both the left and right. I’ll not venture to speculate which party ranks higher on the arrogance/hypocrisy meter on any given day.

GH > I’ll not venture to speculate which party ranks higher on the arrogance/hypocrisy meter on any given day.

Human nature is the same on both sides. But, when one side tends to change things and decide for others, and the other prefers the old ways and advocates less concentrated power, then yetzer hara would exhibit itself in a different ways.

There is more room for lying and arrogance when a navi sheker is proposing to save the world and offer people new solutions: workers will run the factories, government will print money for you, etc.
Traditionalists get into intellectual holes when they advocate things that clearly need to be changed – slavery, not studying professions, rejecting masks/vaccines – but this is a much smaller field.

    “not studying professions”

    You are such a hater

    > You are such a hater

At least you are not defending slavery 🙂 I think this belongs on the list here. It is pretty reasonable from the traditional POV to be afraid of liberal education, but participating in modern economy requires certain skills. Same way Jews knew how to dry figs, make shoes, bread, and spices, with all professional secrets involved, we need to know how to write software, know American law and medicine. We just need to realize inherent biases we have and achieve educational goals without compromising traditional values.

I’ll change that to bigot. Or clueless. It’s a toss up at this point

The left is hitting a new low, following and filming a Senator when she uses a bathroom, attacks her on the plane and surrounds a Senator while he is on his boat, so sad the lack of civility on the left

    #2012725

    > hitting a new low,

Chill, this is a very local low, they used to put people into labor camps.

    Is the the left ?
    – Our President Wants Us Here’: The Mob That Stormed the Capitol.
They came from around the country with different affiliations — QAnon, Proud Boys, elected officials, everyday Americans — united by one allegiance.
    – Days before the 2020 election, a bus transporting a team of President Joe Biden’s campaign staff to an event in Texas was nearly run off the road by a barrage of vehicles toting Trump flags. Now, two lawsuits have been filed in relation to the incident — one against the Trump supporting drivers, dubbed the ‘Trump Train,’ and another against law enforcement who “turned a blind eye.”

@Jackk, In regards to Jan 6 everyone who was there was arrested and prosecuted can we say the same here?
Trumps motorcades were attacked too and is about the same as the bus incident and pales in comparison th following a Senator into the bathroom or attacking her on a plane

Arrogance and “Hyoocirsy” have become the hallmarks of BOTH parties and on any given day or issue, one will spike the meter more than the other but over time, I would submit it evens out. The sudden and seemingly silent abdication of 100 years of Republican party principles and philosophy to a narcissistic self-indulgent leadership wrapped in neo-facist populism and nationalism (aka MAGA) certain rises to the level of the mindless and internally inconsistent “socialist” hyperbole of the rejuvenated “progressive” wing of the Democratic Party. Trying to score either side on the arrogance and hyoocrisy meters on any given day is a fools’ errand. As I’ve maintained over and over, the sensible middle of the American body politic is on life-support with a negative outlook for long-term recovery.

Gadol > have become the hallmarks of BOTH parties .. sensible middle of the American body politic is on life-support

Agree. Weimar Germany fell under pressure from two sides by Commies and Nazis and people having to choose between the two terrible alternatives. Historical question: how come after 100+ years of successful American democracy Wilson could not propose a more stable system for Germany? A filibuster when you really needed it? Cared too much about the League and did not appreciate what we had?

Still, excesses on the left worry me more.. Not only because it has a higher score on murders and more countries historically, but is also more attractive ideologically by appealing to global feelings. Also, by having a grip on many institutions, including educating the youth.

I just compared trend for last 15 years for socialism, communism, nazism, fascism (the latter being a commie term to refer to nazism) – and first two are 2x over fascism, and nazism is negligible… Socialism spikes during 2008, 2016, 2020 elections. Nazi is popular, but it seems mostly as a term of endearment, like grammar nazi, trump nazi, not an ideology
