“T2D represents a major public health issue: 6.3% of the world’s adult population was affected in 2017, and numbers are expected to rise to 7.4% by 2040 (6). T2D is frequently associated with comorbidities of high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and incidence of cardiovascular events, among others, for which diet is a recognized prevention tool. Artificial sweeteners are notably a marker of UPFs, which have been shown to be associated with T2D”

“Artificial sweeteners can cause side effects such as digestive issues, including bloating and gas, particularly with sugar alcohols. Some studies suggest potential links to increased risks of cardiovascular problems, but more research is needed to fully understand their long-term effects on health”

I think stevia is an issue also. Use real sugar brown sugar it has trace minerals like viteken B12 chromium and it helps a lot of other stuff. Or molasses.

Square root just read a bit there actually think your wrong lol. Sugar isn’t bad for you. _white_ sugar is cuz it’s stripped of its minerals. Fat is _very_ good for you it helps fuel all your cells. Your brain is made of fat. It helps ease anxiety and heals your body. Also helps release melatonin blah blah blah I’m starting to even question if any fat at all is bad for you lol. If you don’t eat fat you will become neurotic anxious and very stressed. Also………white wheat is very bad for you but everything in moderation to say eating a a cake will give you cancer is a stretch. Eating cake for breakfast lunch and dinner and not getting any nutrients in your body will prob make you very sick. But just cuz you read something on the internet doesn’t make it true

“Stevia can cause side effects in some individuals, including muscle pain or weakness, along with other symptoms like bloating and nausea. If you experience these effects, it may be best to reduce or stop using stevia and consult a healthcare professional”

Stevia is natural, just like sugar. It is healthier than sugar and causes much less heath problems than sugar.

No, guys not eating sugar isn’t sustainable. Actually sugar has many health beinigts including vitamin B12 and chromium I will find the science for you. The health industry is _very_ deceptive. They say everything is bad for you, “fish has mercury”
“Eat lean meats” ye good luck with anxiouty and stress when most of your body needs fat including your brain
“Sugar is bad for you” no it’s not. Slogans. Lots of slogans and little facts.

“Brown sugar offers several health benefits compared to white sugar, primarily due to its higher content of minerals and antioxidants. It contains essential minerals.
Additionally, brown sugar has a lower glycemic index, which helps in maintaining more stable energy levels and blood sugar control.
It also provides antioxidants that can improve immune function and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
Brown sugar can aid in digestion and promote a healthy gut microbiome due to its prebiotic properties.

    The harmful effects of sugar:

    🧠 Brain and Mental Health
Addiction-like effects: Triggers dopamine release, leading to cravings and dependency.

Mood swings: Causes blood sugar spikes and crashes, leading to irritability and fatigue.

Increased risk of depression: High sugar intake is linked to greater risk of depression and anxiety.

Cognitive decline: Excess sugar may impair memory and learning; linked to Alzheimer’s risk (“type 3 diabetes”).

    ❤️ Heart and Circulatory System
Increased risk of heart disease: Raises triglycerides, blood pressure, and inflammation.

Increases LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and lowers HDL (“good”) cholesterol.

Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis): Promotes plaque buildup and vascular damage.

High blood pressure: Especially from sugary drinks and processed foods.

    🩺 Metabolic and Hormonal Effects
Weight gain and obesity: Extra calories and fat storage from insulin response.

Insulin resistance: Precursor to type 2 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes: Strongly linked to sugar intake.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD): Fructose is metabolized in the liver and can lead to fat accumulation.

Leptin resistance: Disrupts satiety signaling, leading to overeating.

    🍭 Teeth and Mouth
Tooth decay and cavities: Sugar feeds harmful oral bacteria that produce acid.

Gum disease: Linked to high-sugar diets and poor oral hygiene.

    🦴 Muscles and Joints
Increased inflammation: Sugar contributes to systemic inflammation, worsening arthritis and joint pain.

Higher uric acid levels: Can increase risk of gout.

    🧬 Immune System
Weakened immune response: Excess sugar may suppress immune function and white blood cell activity.

Increased risk of infections: Weaker immune function makes you more vulnerable.

    🧖‍♀️ Skin and Aging
Accelerated skin aging: Sugar binds to proteins via glycation, damaging collagen and elastin.

Acne: High-glycemic diets are associated with acne flare-ups.

🧠 Neurological and Behavioral Effects (Children and Adults)
    Hyperactivity in children (often reported).

Behavioral issues and inattention: Linked to blood sugar instability.

    🩸 Digestive and Gut Health
Disruption of gut microbiome: Feeds harmful gut bacteria and yeast like Candida.

Bloating and gas: Fermentation of sugars in the gut can cause discomfort.

👶 Effects During Pregnancy and on Children
Gestational diabetes: Linked to excessive sugar intake during pregnancy.

Macrosomia (large baby size): Higher sugar intake increases risk.

Childhood obesity and metabolic issues: Early sugar exposure influences long-term health.

    🧪 Cancer Risk
Increased cancer risk: Obesity, insulin resistance, and chronic inflammation (exacerbated by sugar) are risk factors for several cancers (e.g., breast, colon, pancreatic).

Promotes cancer cell growth (controversial but under study): Some cancer cells use glucose more aggressively than normal cells (Warburg effect).

    ⚖️ Addiction and Lifestyle Effects
Binge-eating behavior: Sugar encourages reward-seeking and lack of control over intake.

Poor diet quality: High sugar intake often displaces nutrient-dense foods.

    📉 Longevity and Overall Mortality
Shortened lifespan: Excessive sugar has been associated with higher overall mortality.

Chronic disease burden: Linked to many of the top causes of death, including heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

    Common Sources of Hidden Sugar:
Sweetened beverages (soda, energy drinks, juice)

    Breakfast cereals

    Flavored yogurt

Sauces and condiments (e.g., ketchup, BBQ sauce)

    Protein bars and granola

    Baked goods

    Canned soups and ready-made meals

“Sugar: ((I’m advocating for brown sugar and molasses))When we participate in high-intensity or endurance exercise, our bodies also use glycogen, a stored form of glucose in the muscles and liver. Consuming sugar can help to replenish glycogen stores and delay fatigue during times of prolonged exercise.

Sugar can help to regulate mood
Sugar can also affect our mood by increasing the levels of serotonin and dopamine in our brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that regulates mood and behaviour, and dopamine is often referred to as the “feel-good” neurotransmitter because it is associated with pleasure, reward, and motivation. The release of dopamine can create a temporary mood boost and enhance feelings of happiness and well-being. This is why many people turn to sugary foods (also called comfort food) as a form of emotional comfort during times of stress or sadness””
I’ve also heard sugar has vitamin B12 and other trace minerals. The point is this food has been villified by special instrestss that want to take the enjoyment out of eating. Also going off sugar is _unsustajnable_ it’s better to be realistic then not realistic and just change the _type_ of sugar. All the bad rap is for white sugar or _excdssive_ sugar intake. But sugar on its own is very good for you. If you want to continue to suffer your extreme mindset and instead of investigating the truth continue but a life without sugar is impossible. Try it it won’t work and also you’ll feel very depressed.

I hear you ujm but try going off sugar for a day. A week a year. You’ll be so depressed. Might as well find a healthy way to enjoy eating and stop villifying being _humam_ what else you ganna stop eating. Fats in meats? Eggs? There’s so much “science” that says eggs are bad for you. So just stop eating everything ok. Or just enjoy making homemade food with good ingredients and enjoy eating cake when you crave it and not dramatize it. All the happiness is taken from life with these extreme mindsets. Enjoy going off sugar

My only point here was that Stevia, which is just as natural as sugar, is a healthier alternative to sugar.

Between the comparative side effects, or downsides, of them both, Stevia wins over sugar.

Ujm do you not read it causes muscle aches and I e experienced them myself they are really bad. Just eat sugar your sweet tooth is there for a reason hello. And also I posted stuff I actually experienced you just reposed stuff you were told to be true a lot of what I say has already been verified in real life _then_ I find the science to give me clout. What you wrote _might_ be propaganda

For example try to find truthful information on the Internet about soy. You will find _nothing_ unless you dig. Even ai won’t tell you the truth. The point is if things aren’t verified by real life you can easily be lied to by the Internet
