What are egregious examples of, and how would you define, bad parenting?

A mother laying down in the middle of the supermarket kicking her feet and screaming because she wants to buy a jawbreaker…. imagine 😂

Parents who badmouth their children’s teachers.

Parents who spoil their children by not saying no.

Parents who spare the rod from their children.

Parents who do their child’s homework.

Parent’s who allow their children too much junk food.

Joseph – I agree with 1,2 & 4, but 3 needs explanation: What kind of a rod? A real one, a verbal one or a potch? And how often are you talking about?

    As for 5 – I’m not even going there……

Sorry, but I’m not a baki in Tehillim or in all the possible mefarshim on that Possuk as well as how the contemporary Gedolim and Manhigim say that it should be applied today. I certainly don’t know how you are interpreting it, so would you mind clarifying for me?

Parents who treat married children like exalted visitors when they come for yom tov but treat the single children like indentured slaves because things like serving food, taking away dishes, washing dishes, and other chores are beneath the married ones.

    Lilmod Ulelamaid,
“I’m not a baki in Tehillim”
It is actually in Mishlei, so I doubt meforshim were studied in this case…:)

It’s also the Halacha in Shulchan Aruch.
