im am an out-of-towner looking into going to bais yaakov intensive next year for sem. Does anyone have any info they can share with me concerning:

    1. the type of girls(chassidish, ultra-frum, regular, with-it etc.)

    2. what the dorm is like

    3. any other general info you can think of good or bad

    thanx

    Pioneers is intense!

Sorry, don’t know anything about Bais Yaakov Intensive (a bit about some other US/Canada sems though), but I just had to let that absolute (original) gem out.

    I think it’s ultra yeshivish.

My wife went to beis yaakov intensive and anyone would be lucky to marry her. But they didn’t, so ha!

I went to half day, but I know a lot of girls from intensive. Maybe even Popa’s wife.

It’s very frum, yeshivish and chasidish girls.

The dorm seemed nice but cramped from my one visit.

lol, believe you me, if you knew popa’s wife, you would not have a safek whether you did. It would be pretty obvious. (very pretty obvious I might add)

I think its inappropriate all this talk about your pretty wife (or wives).

Hmm, you are correct. It is pretty inappropriate.

I’ll consider stopping. Maybe try saying pretty pretty please.

Sorry chacha, I see you’re not getting much info here.

I don’t know much about bais yaakov intensive either, but I have to tell you- the name is just so off-puttingly awful to me.

    Bais yaakov intensive???

The mental image it conjures up is not a place I’d set foot in.

Can they maybe come up with something a little more user friendly?

I love being yeshivish, which i am right now, and love learning and at a point i was OTD, do you think that I would fit in at BJJ or Bais Yaaov intensive? If yes what’s the difference and which 1 should I look into?

Miri, I hope you’re joking, but honestly you probably wouldn’t fit into either one. And if you do manage to get in, you’ll have a hard time finding friends. How about Tomer Devorah in EY or Midreshet Tehila?

I went to BY intensive seminary in 2010.

    AMAZING sem.

There were different types of classes, it appears they try to be good about giving you your preferences. My class was a beautiful mix. a class of 32 we had about 18 out of towners including toronto, Lakewood, Monsey, 5 towns …

The class had a few chassidish kids, some very yeshivish and many very mainstream, and 2 Sefaradim. It was an unbelievable experience. The motto gotta be “accept and respect” and then you are A ok.

The dorm is amazing. Not that I stayed there but I practically lived there.

Miri, I don’t know anyone who did that before seminary and went to either of those sems.

Which sem should I go to BJJ or Bais Yaakov Intensive?

None of these. If you only want a Bais Yaakov, maybe look into Seminar. It’s a Bais Yaakov, but a bit more relaxed.

Miri Topez is obviously a troll. And a male. Thanks for successfully trolling us, you weren’t at all bad as trolls go.
