    Yesterday I called a car service in the Mountains and the dispatcher quoted a fee. During the ride the driver substantially increased the fee. I called the dispatcher and they told me that I was wrong. Is this standard practice in the Mountains?

    I hope you refused to pay the hiked up price gouge. You should have paid the original quote and told the driver that’s all he’s getting.

    Just pay the agreed amount and get out.

    Thanks for the help. However, I was trying to be modia the oilem of the car services tactics and trying to understand if this is common.
