I need to inform the yeshiva world of a serious matter. There is an Israeli man who is going around manhattan on the streets and subways telling people (mostly young neive girls) that he is in need of cash. He says that his bank card only works in Israel and he needs money for various reasons. He actually approached me on friday and I am now one of his victims. I am embarrased to disclose the amount of money I gave him from the atm that day. Once I started telling people what happened I came to learn that this has been happening for a while. I want to post this to you because I feel that this needs to be made known. People should be very cautious about who they are giving their money to in general and especially with this Israeli. Bottom line is you need to protect yourself first and foremost, when dealing with strangers your gaurd needs to be Up.

Yup that’s exactly what he said, that’s what got me off the train in the first place I thought he just needed me the American to change the shkalim into dollars…once i was off the train he told me he needed me to take money out of MY bank account. At that point I felt like I was already doing this for him, and I couldn’t stop.
