Biden just annuled Trump’s designating the Islamic Republuc of Iran’s proxy. The Houthis as terrorists organization.
The Houthi’s slogan reads: “ala… Is Great, D…. to America, D… to Israel, Cur.. on the Jews, Victory to (their religion which is) Islam”. The motto is partially modelled partially on that of revolutionary guards of Islamic Republic of Iran, which reads “D…. to U.S., and d…. to Israel”.
For those not aware, this group has been persecuting and has imprisoned Yemenite Jews.
The excuses of connecting it to starving children in Yemen presumably isn’t logical. You can give aid to Yemen if you know it goes to the starving, no relation to annulling Trump’s ruling, asides from licking boots of global Mullahcracy butchery of Iran.

February 7, 2021 6:49 am at 6:49 am #1945874Shalom-al-IsraelParticipantBiden isn’t known to be anti Jewish. I’m almost sure he hasn’t seen all aspects here, in the case. It’s one of those he acted blindly, only G-d knows what mistakes he can do next…
February 7, 2021 7:29 am at 7:29 am #1945905jackkParticipantWow.
Trump designates the Houthis as a terrorist organization on Jan 11 2021, 8 days before he was removed from office, and it is a big deal that Biden reverses the decision?
Where was the anger against Trump during the past 4 years on this issue?
February 7, 2021 8:57 am at 8:57 am #1945923MadeAliyahParticipant”Where was the anger against Trump during the past 4 years on this issue?”
Because it’s worse to reverse a good policy than to not implement it at all, so that’s not a valid comparison.February 7, 2021 11:05 am at 11:05 am #1945969jackkParticipantIt’s worse to do absolutely zero for 4 years than to do something that is purely for show 8 days before you are kicked out of office.

Why? Who cares about the motive? Most good things politicians do are for show and we (rightfully) give them credit anyway.
Downplaying Trump’s accomplishments because it’s ‘purely for show’, is simply wrong.February 7, 2021 12:28 pm at 12:28 pm #1945987MadeAliyahParticipantBy the way @jackk, I hope you believe what Biden is doing is ‘purely for show’, and he doesn’t think the Houthis are not a terror group.
February 7, 2021 5:25 pm at 5:25 pm #1946053jdf007ParticipantI’ve been angry that Obama didn’t do….anything constructive for 8 years. Being angry at Trump for finally getting around to things in his first term, whilst doing everything else is better than Obama and Biden’s moves combined.
February 7, 2021 7:32 pm at 7:32 pm #1946075Ben LeviParticipantTo say Trump did “nothing” is flat out wrong he actually supported the Suadis campaign against the Houthis and worked against them in many ways, formally designating them as a Terrorist org. was simply the next step.
Biden has signaled formally and informally that he is intent on reversing Trumps policies towards the Houthis.
It’s only one of the terrible policies the Biden is implementing. But it’s especially comical that he has decided that an organization that contains the words Death to America as part of their slogan is not a terrorist entity but a few hundred people who stormed the Capitol are.
February 7, 2021 9:44 pm at 9:44 pm #1946097Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantI did not hear Mr. biden speak, but from the newspaper description, he seems to be feeling like a gadol hador and starts talking accordingly giving short and clear daas, without a need to elaborate:
paraphrasing from memory:
“so, you will not stop sanctions on Iran right now?”
“no”
“but only if they stop developing nuclear weapons”
noddedWe used to have “Articulate” Presidents ….
February 8, 2021 11:38 am at 11:38 am #1946250jackkParticipantAfter further investigation, I realize that this whole posting is a false accusation against Biden.
As the State Department spokesperson explained this has everything to do with a humanitarian effort to help millions of Yemenis that are starving and nothing to do with Ansarallah being a terrorist organization.
In explaining the reversal, the State Department spokesperson said the move “has nothing to do with our view of the Houthis and their reprehensible conduct, including attacks against civilians and the kidnapping of American citizens.”
“We have formally notified Congress of the Secretary’s intent to revoke these designations and will share more details in the coming days,” the spokesperson added. “Our action is due entirely to the humanitarian consequences of this last-minute designation from the prior administration, which the United Nations and humanitarian organizations have since made clear would accelerate the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.”
Ergo: Pompeo’s last minute designation of Ansarallah as a terrorist organization would have been a disaster for millions of starving Yemenis. I think that is a lot worse than Pompeo’s defense of Trump’s overthrow of the American government.
February 8, 2021 1:32 pm at 1:32 pm #1946262Ben LeviParticipantJackk
You have no idea how the Mideast works not the UN or the “humanitarian orgs”.Most of the aid that has flown towards Houthi controlled territory is diverted to help the Houthis similar to aid that has gone to Gaza.
Helping the Yemeni people means defeating the Houthis.
February 8, 2021 1:32 pm at 1:32 pm #1946266akupermaParticipantClever move by Biden. He denies the Iranians what they desperately want (relief from sanctions, which are destroying their economy), and gives them an irrelevant bone (the US will stop helping the Saudis from beating up the Iranian’s friends in Yemen, as if the Saudi’s really need our help).
February 8, 2021 2:01 pm at 2:01 pm #1946277HealthParticipantUJM -“Biden is her mindless proxy.”
Well Said!
In the News, Biden just threatened Iran to stop enriching Uranium.
They aren’t going to Stop.
What’s his plan?
Please stop – Pretty Please stop?!?I know what Trump’s plan would be – It’s pretty obvious!
February 8, 2021 2:54 pm at 2:54 pm #1946290MadeAliyahParticipant@jackk can I rephrase your post?
Here goes:<After calling Trump’s policy worse than Biden’s because it wasn’t lishmah, I’ve decided that this whole posting is a false accusation against Biden.
As the State Department spokesperson explained this has everything to do with a humanitarian effort to help millions of Yemenis that are starving so don’t notice the whole ‘Houthis not being a terrorist organization’ thing.

How’s that?
February 8, 2021 5:32 pm at 5:32 pm #1946351MadeAliyahParticipant”Clever move by Biden. He denies the Iranians what they desperately want (relief from sanctions, which are destroying their economy), and gives them an irrelevant bone (the US will stop helping the Saudis from beating up the Iranian’s friends in Yemen, as if the Saudi’s really need our help).”
So he gave them an ‘irrelevant bone’ without receiving anything in return?
That not a ‘clever move’, that’s a bad move and it projects weakness.February 9, 2021 8:06 am at 8:06 am #1946496Shalom-al-IsraelParticipantJackk. How can you equate non action to actively reversing act by Biden?
The following isn’t minimizing the damage:Jaclyn Diaz,, “State Department Condemns Group It Removed From Terrorist List”. Feb.8.21. NPR.
