Best Carlbach Kabbalas Shabbos
Can anyone tell me how much is accomplished by the annual Shabbaton, where the idea is to invite a frei neighbor for Shabbos? How many Reform/Conservative/secular Jews actually show up on that annual Shabbos? And how many of those become observant?
ujm:
“And how many of those become observant?”
Yes of course that is the goal but even if its just one mitzvah, one shabbos, it is worth it. Every mitzvah is precious.
Correct and with the Flatbush shabbos (bjx) project everyone gets inspired!
the goal is to do the eibershters rotzon
Last shabbos, we had a Carlbach kabbolas shabbos in the Agudah of Staten Island which was very uplifting.
Reb Eliezer, when’d you move to Staten Island?
I moved there 1977. My wife’s a’h cousin decided to move here from Boro Park, buy a house. She wanted us to buy the companion house of two semi-detached houses. Currently they moved a long time ago to the Woodmere, Long Island. My daughter lives in Oceanside and my son in Marine Park, so I am on my own.
Even if one person has hirhurei teshuva it’s worth it.
