    have an open conversation and come to an agreement as to when and for how long its appropriate to be on BB.

    There is a reason these things have been called “crack-berries”. If it weren’t for Shabat and Yom Tov I’d never put mine down.

    dump the blackberry and get an android to be addicted to

    Set up “off” times. Between certain times, have someone else hold it or turn it off completely. After a week or two do that twice a day etc.

    Like with all life issues – think long term. If you stick to your BB, what will your life and relationships look like in 10 years from now? If you are smart – then that should be enough to encourage you to turn it off when your eating supper or spending time together.
