IS anyone aware of any way of finding a good option for a 18-20 year old to board in Brooklyn? THe young man in question has some minor special needs, and requires a place with a warm, loving family. He has been accepted in certain programs in New York that will help him significantly, but since his family currently resides outside of NY he has nowhere to stay.

Closest boarding is really at Mountain Creek-it is pretty good for a small mountain, but the terrain park is really the best part. I recommend it for more advanced boarders.

If you drive a bit further, Hunter Mtn is really the best within day trip range.

Check shabbat.com. I would guess that many families listed there as Shabbos hosts would be open to boarding this young man. If you create an account, you can search by neighborhood and send messages to families.

If he’s too bored in Brooklyn, try Manhattan.

I am looking for general methods of starting a search- for example- are there public listervs where one can list that they are looking for a place to board? (something like 5 towns shuls)
