Does anyone else out there notice an increase in the Misnagdesh / Litvish population of Borough Park? I see this more and more, especially in the “outskirts” of the neighborhood.

April 9, 2012 11:25 pm at 11:25 pm #866818PatriMemberI believe Lakewood is turning Chasidish by a far far greater degree than BP is turning Litvish.
April 9, 2012 11:28 pm at 11:28 pm #866819wanderingchanaParticipantAnd you know someone is ____ because they are/are not wearing ___?
April 10, 2012 12:16 am at 12:16 am #866820more_2MemberIf you are not learning in Lakewood and are working you are a second class citizen, true or false? More and more pple need money that’s why they are flocking to the chassidishe oilom where its not such a busho to actually be working… Although I’m not too sure why the chassidim are flocking to the learning I guess it’s bc they already made thier bucks…
April 10, 2012 12:17 am at 12:17 am #866821apushatayidParticipantBeware, the Litvaks are overruning BP. 3 people wore tefillin in BP this morning.

April 10, 2012 8:08 pm at 8:08 pm #866825more_2MemberThe chassidishe way only became a fad later on in Jewish history the litvishe way is the real way to be a good Jew, so don’t mock sth that is the reality pls. Your offending me!
