with all due respect,
i protest!
some people modernize, shake up, and enhance their web pages in order to simplify or get their clientele who visit the page to notice and enjoy the experience even more.
but what in heaven’s name could the moderator be thinking by removing the most beautiful thread – the divrei torah sticky thread -that has graced the top of the coffee room page of YWN for so many years? it did not simplify nor enhance the page in any manner shape or form, rather by stripping the ‘crown jewel’ of the coffee room you defamed it and stripped it of any kedusha it held up until now. i used that thread, and so did many others, why would you take it away????
please put it back!

March 31, 2014 6:01 pm at 6:01 pm #1010285☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantIf you want to bring it back, post a d’var Torah on it. It’ll go on the front page. There are about thirty posts on the last page of that thread, over the span of more than a year, and some of those posts are not divrei Torah. How could you call a thread, which is so rarely posted on, the “nightly” d’var Torah thread?

You probably didn’t even notice it was there until the mod posted that it was getting unstickied. Nobody used to read it or notice it.
