B’h it’s ellul zman. 2 yrs ago I bought a shofar, b’h it’s been piping notes in the past 2years, however this year no hard I try I can’t seem to blow it. No sound comes from it. Is it mamish min hashomayim that it doesn’t work in ellul
Maybe you’re supposed to hold in the Bb key
I don’t think it is the shofar that is broken.
Did you try to clean it? There is probably something stuck not letting the air flow through

That reminds me of a story I used to tell my kids, based on K’ton-ton (anyone remember him?). He was curious during davening, climbed up on the bima to inspect the shofar and fell in. Fell asleep while waiting to be rescued. Ba’al Tokeia could not blow, until he “cleaned out” the sleeping K’ton-ton.
