    What does “bump” mean in ywn lingo? Clearly I am not very computer savy. In a lot of threads people write things like ” can someone bump this thread?”. What does it mean!?

    It means to bring a thread that has fallen to the bottom of the page or has not been seen in a long time and to bump it up to the top of the page.

    If I am reading a thread that is off the main CR page (meaning an old thread) and I want people to see it and/or get the discussion going again, I will write Bump (or Bump™ to be cool) so that the thread will “bump” to the home page.

    When someone says, “can someone bump this thread?” they are Bump™ing the thread in a funny way!

    Simple as that!
