I was asked to write a comedy sketch for something.Just trying out a few lines…tell me if it’s funny.

Shana Rishona….Scene One

Breakfast:

He:Good Morning!

She:Do you like how I cooked the eggs?Here,this is the coffee,here’s a tea bag,there’s sugar,honey,cold cereal and oatmeal.

He:Thank you!Can’t wait to join you,after Shachris.

She:Bye,have a great day!Learn well!

He:Shkoiach,I’m locking it,don’t worry.Oh,should I bring anything special home from thr grocery?

She:As a matter of fact…do you mind getting another milk?

He:No problem,kay bye.

[He exits]

She:Hmmmmm.How did I manage to use up our entire Corelle for Milchigs JUST on breakfast?Wow.

[He returns]

She:So fast?

He:It was over.I missed it.

She:Oy,it was probably because I was talking to you so late last night and this morning I asked you a few things.Oy,are you moichel me?You surrre?

He:I’ll find another minyan in Boro Park,don’t worry.I just wanted to communicate with you,you should know why I’m being a little late.If I end u being home late.

She:Your eggs will be cold,so….

He:It’s fine,cereal’s fine.

She:You’re moichel me?

He:I better go,bye.

(pokes his head back in)

You need anything from Boro Park?

She:Yes!Can you pick up my lenses?

He:You look beautiful in the big plastic glasses,but yes,sure!

[exits]

She:I hope he didn’t miss z’man Krias shema.Oy.Should I daven?Start preparing lunch?Vacuum?Wash the clothes?Count our chasunah money again?Hmmmmm.

(he’s back)

He:Hello!

She:Hi!So fast?

He:(sheepishly)I missed it there too.

She:So….

He:You know why?

She:Why?

He:Because it’s not even TODAY yet!!What time did you set my alarm for,may I ask?

She:Uh….5:00A.M.Why?

He:It’s too early!(shakes his head)I’m going back to sleep.(exits)

She:My kallah teacher said:Vatakam b’od layla….It says in Aishes Chayil…I thought early was a good thing…
