Can someone suggest a good baby monitor? There are quite a few products on the market and range in the 100-200 dollar market of what I have seen.

Which work well? Which are worth their money? Is a video necessary?

I would ask your friends… perhaps they would know. I don’t have children, but I would think at the very least that the video would be a cute, non-invasive way to take a picture of your baby when he is sleeping and you could possibly use flash.

I have a digital Graco. It’s great. You can see on the screen if there is connection. Plus, when it detects sound, you hear it and your piece also vibrates. So if I put my baby to sleep, i can wear it on my skirt like a cell phone (a bit bigger) and even if its under my sweater and the baby is only whimpering I can feel teh vibration.

I bought it in Target for like $70.00.

$40.00, which was very basic, but did the trick, if I as downstairs and my baby was sleeping upstairs.

Basically, no offense to previous posters I dont think I would need a picture one for a sleeping baby, unless u use it for letting your baby play alone in the room.
