    MiddlePath, my father always taught me that the secret to a happy and healthy marriage is to always be giving. so it sounds to me like you shouldn’t worry too much on the marriage front. 🙂

    and i dont think you should feel guilty for being a giver. you are only following Hashem’s example!

    One thing that many people dont know is that its not a chessed to help someone who doesnt really need your help at all and can do the thing on their own but are just lazy and want someone else to do it for them or help them. It isnt a chessed to enable someone to be a user.

    WIY- so it’s not chessed if ur friend is lazy and wants u to get her a drink of water, and u jump up and get her one before she even finishes asking?
