Not sure if anyone knows, but the NY RANGERS are in the championship series.

Is it wrong to be celebrating the team?

Definity assur. We just need Sam to tell us whether it’s chukas akum, or darkei haemori.

    😉

What a waste [of time] to celebrate a sports team.

Celebrate worthwhile causes like investing time in learning to make a Siyum instead of wasting time with sports.

Celebrate important events liki Mattan Toroh on Shovu’os and the Kossel on Yom Yerusholayim.

    #1030721

Mutar halachicly. Might be questionable hashkaficly. Either way, close your eyes at the cheerleaders.

no cheerleaders in hockey. of course its better to be sitting and learning instead of following the rangers. if however you wont be learning, or sleeping and would be sitting and speaking lashon hara instead, get together with like minded rangers fans and enjoy reaching the stanley cup finals.

    #1030729

it’s fine unless you’re an islanders fan. In which case there is nothing for you to celebrate and it’s hevel. Or a Mets fan (in which case I offer my condolences, how’s grandy working out for you?)

Go Portugal! We’re lucky to have you here. Enjoy beating those leprecauns today but don’t think it will be that easy in the World Cup…

She would be right. Animals are very important and also good, not at all obsessed about sports teams.

Maybe the Irish would have better luck if they rebuilt the old Giants stadium and played there again…

Seriously people, everyone needs an outlet. Following a sports team is a perfectly healthy outlet to refresh your mind to continue serving Hashem.

How do the international sports work do they all speak spanish (brasil)or english?

Why would they speak Spanish in Brazil? Just about any international sport has rules regarding language.

    Official languages

    1. English, Spanish, French and German are the official languages of FIFA. English is the official language for minutes,

    correspondence and announcements.

    2. Members are responsible for translations into the language of their Ccountry.

    3. English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Arabic and Portuguese are the official languages at the Congress.

Qualified interpreters shall translate into these languages. Delegates may speak in their mother tongue if they ensure

interpretation into one of the official Congress languages by a qualified interpreter.

    4. The Statutes, Regulations Governing the Application of the Statutes, the Standing Orders of the Congress,

decisions and announcements of FIFA shall be published in the four official languages. If there is any divergence in the

wording, the English text is authoritative.

Portugese is the 6th most spoken language on Earth. Brazil is a very large country , almost as big as the US in both size and population
