Who would you pick as a chavrusa in yeshiva/kollel
A lamud vovnik.
I usually used to pick the guy with the worst middos. I figured he’d always be getting in fights with his wife, and then would be on time to seder and not in a rush to leave and not texting her the whole time.

Someone who values the essence of time. Who is generally serious, and most serious about the business of learning. One who won’t prattle, shmuz, idle time in worthless chatter.
I have been zoche to one. Have been learning for about 7+ years, & heard 3 jokes (related to the issue at hand) in all that time.

No. Not at all. Opposites attract. My chavrusa can’t understand a joke (how it works, what to do with it etc.). I can’t say a straight word. And we’re been doing it for many a year!
