Up to what price is a wine considered cheap? Or does it depend if we are talking sweet or dry? I’m guessing it does so at what price would a sweet wine no longer be called cheap and what price is a dry wine no longer called cheap?
Thanks

My brother-in-law thinks anything more than $5 is expensive.
My cousin thinks anything less than $100 is cheap.
April 16, 2013 12:58 am at 12:58 am #945742yetelzMemberdoes more expensive wine really taste better? i can rarely tell the difference and even when i can the cheap wine often tastes better than the expensive wine.

April 16, 2013 1:18 am at 1:18 am #945744playtimeMemberdaas- why is the cousin always the wealthy one?
April 16, 2013 2:00 am at 2:00 am #945745☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantTalmud, it’s not a matter of my cousin being wealthier. I sent him a bottle of $90 wine.
April 16, 2013 2:12 am at 2:12 am #945746playtimeMemberjust saying. cause that’s the way it is by me.
April 16, 2013 2:20 am at 2:20 am #945747☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWell, statistically, there are more cousins than brothers-in-law.

April 16, 2013 5:16 am at 5:16 am #945752playtimeMemberIf I drank a $90 bottle, I wouldn’t enjoy. I’d think every ounce $5 down the drain.
April 16, 2013 5:24 am at 5:24 am #945753yehudayonaParticipanttalmud, wouldn’t it depend on who paid for it?
April 16, 2013 7:20 am at 7:20 am #945754playtimeMemberyehuda- Ok then- just give me the money, and keep the wine.

I’ll have my cousin buy it for me.
(I never compared them but I probably couldn’t tell the difference either).
April 16, 2013 3:39 pm at 3:39 pm #945763playtimeMemberI heard a story of someone who refilled a Blue Label bottle with Black Label whiskey. Everyone at the event was drinking more and more, saying how spectacularly delicious it was.
Until one veteran alcoholic came in and busted him.
April 16, 2013 3:42 pm at 3:42 pm #945764☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantBlack label wine? You mean whiskey, I think.
April 16, 2013 3:51 pm at 3:51 pm #945765playtimeMemberedited by Daas Yochid, even though it is Daas Rabim that Johnny Walker whiskey is not wine.
