oh, i didnt notice your post mentioned the petition stated it could be toxic

i just found some alarming statistics

in 2004 it killed over 3,00 people in the US alone.

dyhydrogen monoxide is 14 times more likely than a motor vehicle to be involved in the death of a child age 4 and under.

    feivel,

True but swimming pools kill many more children each year than unprotected guns and yet gun ownership dwindles whilst concrete ponds abound. Most of them have contain said substance as well! So clearly we do not draw the line around the lives of mere children.

approximately 5,000 children ages 15 and under are hospitalized due to dihydrogen monoxide ingestion yearly in the US.

also it was discovered earlier last century to be present, sometimes in high concentrations, in virtually ALL parts of the atmosphere. even if we tried to purify the atmosphere of it, it would be impossible!

but it is very easy to remove the dihydrogen monoxide from swimming pools, and without costly procedures. this should eliminate all swimming pool DHM deaths. perhaps this should be a federal law. of course removing it would make the pools dangerous in other ways, but it still should greatly cut down on SP deaths.
