Can someone please advise: when preparing someone for an orthodox burial, and they have had a ring on their finger for decades that is impossible to remove,how can the burial proceed when it is not permitted with any adornment?
I have heard of cases such as this where thing are removed with wire cutters or the like and returned to family.
