Is there something wrong with chewing gum in the bathroom?
I guess one might dispose of it in a piece of tp but then forget and then use it that could be a stincky situation.
to me there is something wrong with chewing gum anywhere

I assume this is about whether it’s considered food,
which should not be taken into a bathroom, or not.
Let’s look at it this way: Do you make a bracha on it?
(Ask a rov to be sure.)
What about chewing gum before kiddush?
What about talking on the phone in the restroom? More points if it’s in a public restroom.
Bracha on gum is shehakol even though you might not swallow it but you still benefit and enjoy it
Flavored or unflavored?
You can look up the issue of talking
in a bathroom in the Mishnah Berurah.
It’s in one of the first few simanim.
