If you haven’t seen it, the current exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art entitled “Renaissance Masterpieces of Judaica: The Mishneh Torah and The Rothschild Mahzor” is definitely worth an hour or two if you happen to be in Manhattan during Chol Hamoed.

Rasve shalom, how can one advertize for the “moma” which is just another “rocky fuhrer” storage, and how can anyone mix “renaiSSance with judaism? Seems like some real shady stuff!

    Mah pitom!!

Our ancestors in the alte heim didn’t know from such shtus as “chol hamoed trips.”

The first chol hamoed trip was through the desert

This is where the minhag came from to ask “are we there yet” because the first one lasted 40 years

There is an earlier trip recorded – 3 Arabs stopped by Avraham for Pesach and, thus, went to a Dead Sea resort for chol hamoed. The accommodation options were limited, but the locals were excited to see the guests, and the whole trip was reported a blast.

It was bigger than the desert trip – one new nation emerged from 40 years of travel, but two new nations were conceived in the two night of THAT chol hamoed.
