Am I the only one upset about frum families going to Chuck E. Cheese’s for their “Entertianment Center”? I’m asking about families that would never think of going to a McDonalds just for the Playland or Playplace.
chuck e cheese’s primary function is an entertainment center…mcdonalds is a fast food joint…clear difference
I also had a “problem “with it till I went myself iTs very different mc donald is a resturant w a free play area for costomers chucky cheese is a play area which happens to serve food also like every amusement park…and btw camps take kids on trips there too
Chuck E Cheese may be more like an amusement place, but it’s name has “cheese” in it, which to some of us signals a restaurant as its primary purpose. I guess I would have to see one inside to really know.
I agree with golden mom. I also didn’t like the idea until i actually went. i probably would not go on Pesach but the rest of the year I do. It is like an indoor play place that also sells food. The food is not an ikur there.
the Talmud says the ‘Reiach lav milshah hi’ the smell of something has no substance– so next time you walk past McDonalds and smell Chazir don’t worry you are not eating treif due to inhaling it!
Chuck E. Cheese’s is like going bowling or to a ball game…your going for the amusement not the food.
The word ‘cheese’ is used because that is the name of their mascot, Chuck E. Cheese. Not because food (cheese) is served at their establishments.
I personally like to go there to play air hockey.
