I always figured that even if you don’t see a “bad” post, what happend was that a poster posted a “bad” post and the mod obviously didn’t post it and, since the mod realizes that this thread is heading in a negative direction the mod nips it in the bud and closes it. It probably is olny after turning down a few negative post on the same thread since, there always a looney out there and I don’t think they would ruin it for the crowd because of one kook. Now, since they don’t post it, you don’t even get to see what went wrong. However, usually you can tell from the previous posts what posters could have submitted that would make sense to shut it down, instead of “fighting” the posters.

Because sometimes the less said the better.
