    Statistically this has to be incorrect. There are active members that have been here thirteen years. To assume that nine years is the age of the youngst posters, that would mean that nine out of ten members joined in the last four years.

    I was nine years old when I left Hungary at the Hungarian Revolution 65 years ago and 11 1/2 when I came to America after waiting around 2 1/2 years in a DP camp in Upper Austria called Asten.

    5781: My eer-einkelech beg to differ. We come from a long rabbinic line going back, unbroken, for centuries. America, Lita, Poland and old Ashkenaz.

    Very wise post OP. Just wondering have you ever been in the “Small class” in yeshiva ketana? If so your perspective would make alot of sense!
