Does anybody know how to get a coffee stain out if woolen tzitzis?
I sent the tzitzis to the dry cleaners, but there is still a stain.
    Anybody have any ideas?
P.S. if anybody knows how to get a coffee stain out of a white shirt.

I’ve gotten everything except pen marks out with shout, 2 coats, 5 minutes apart

You are able to use shout on woolen tzitzis?

My mistake; I didn’t notice the word “woolen”. I wear mostly cotton. I follow minhag ha’gra for many things (my family is related to the gaon), this being one of them.

To ArivaDeArah: You yell at your Talis? And it cleans it? Maybe you should try that with chumetz before Pesach.

Huju, you would be surprised at how many people think that yelling is an effective way of getting rid of chometz before Pesach.

I think there are special formula bottles made for tzitzis they sell them at Yiddishe home stores in Williamsburg and probably around boro park. There are a few brands that I heard actually work. Or at least one of the brands.

The Real best way is to soak it in whole milk for a good 20min to a half hour, then wash it again or send it to dry clean,
Note. in the future soak it first before washing it or dry clean.

Hydrogen peroxide cleans wool tzitzis best. I put tzitzis into a large ziploc bag and pour peroxide into it. Whitens them up nicely.

AAQ: Cholov stam is only allowed where there is a shaylah that the tzitsis might also be shatnez.

I spit my coffee out at the remark and am now in the same boat as the OP.

Lostspark, it was not a remark, just a question. After I spilled fleishege bvorsch onto my tzitses, I am drinking only black coffee to avoid not being able to get hanaah from the basar vechalav tzitis. I guess I could use 4 tzitsis : for halav isroel & sam, and basar kosher and taref.
