Do you shop at Costco?
Do you really save?
I am moving IYH to a new apartment after the chagim, a little bigger than where I live now and I will have more storage space BH. I am wondering if it pays to stock up at Costco. Is it really a savings?

my question is how many people do this corrupt act of borrowing their friend/neighbors costco card & go shop with it? your costco membership card includes you, your wife & your single children living at home. thousands of people do this corrupt act & make a major chillul hashem. You dont think security sees it? each card has a picture of the costco member on it.
maybe i should open a g’mach “get a costco card for $2 & go shop & save & then return to the gemach. the entire town would come to the gemach R”L but that is pure dishonesty & corruption
What is your opinion on this issue? are you gonna say this is not a major chillul Hashem. i would like to hear your opinion

If you enroll online or request a replacement card by phone or web, the card has no picture.
(A technical correction.)

September 7, 2015 3:49 pm at 3:49 pm #1099442☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI shop at Costco and I think I save, but it really depends on one’s shopping habits and self discipline to not buy what isn’t really needed, which seems to be a bigger temptation at Costco than other stores.
September 7, 2015 3:53 pm at 3:53 pm #1099443🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantthe problem with costco (or sams club) in regard to being economical, is that it gives you a cheaper price for name brand stuff or similar. it is still cheaper, often, to buy generic at a regular store.
September 7, 2015 4:12 pm at 4:12 pm #1099444JosephParticipantIt’s often cheaper to clip coupons and buy locally during sales.

September 8, 2015 2:27 pm at 2:27 pm #1099446PosterMemberI like the idea of buying bulk and having on hand.
Though I feel like with a move, if I walk into Costco, there will be soo many things that I will notice I can use in a new house.
