I really missed out on it.
It just flew over my head, the whole Coffee ROom thing about Joseph and someone trying to pretend he was him, and then someone else made up another user name that was similar?
Did I miss something? I didn’t understand what it was all about more than what I just wrote.
From what you wrote it doesn’t sound like you really understand much either. Go to the search engine (located in the first post under the stickyed thread “searching the CR for old threads”) and type in who is joseph. There should be a few threads to go through hopefully all will help.

Oh well! I understand the opening posters frustration.
Then along comes Andrew Lloyd Weber and writes a musical about his life. The “joseph song” (search for it on youtube – especially the version sung by donnie osmond) goes on to become a smash, so much so, that MBD borrows the tune for this song for his shabbos song on his album ich hub gevart that came out in the 70 (maybe very early 80s).

Reb Yontel may have written the lyrics, but he definitely didnt write the music to the song I have in mind.

I am looking for the tape, to get the title of the song. Is a song about shabbos. Perhaps if you heard the Andrew Lloyd Weber song from Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat . Search on youtube for close every door to me – donnie osmond (skip donnie osmond and you will get results for many singers who have performed the song – maybe even MBD 🙂
MBD sings it, but not on that tape. Reb Yontel didn’t take Webber’s song, even if MBD did.

You really want to know? Joseph Shida is rumored to have lurked in the CR, and drank up almost all the coffee. The CR staff banded together and locked him out with a chain with all sorts of Sheimos. It still manages to poke its head(s) in and leaves very distinct footprints, but it barely ever drinks up all the coffee. People get frightened whenever they think they see him. Some don’t believe in the whole thing, and therefore ignore anything with his footprints.

That song is on “Moshiach is Coming Soon”. Funny, I always thought that then tune on Vi glicklach is der etc, sounds very much like, and even rhymes with, And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air, etc.

42, it’s not that I insist, it is simply the orthographic rule pertaining to my name (confirm this with haifagirl). It is simply incorrect to capitalize, not offensive.
Mod 42, it didn’t hurt e.e.cummings to use lower case letters for his name.
