What would you like to know. I probably can answer most of your questions. I am currently a court reporting student.

I am a court reporter who has been home for a couple of years with babies. I worked for about ten to twelve years prior to that. You can ask me if you have any questions. A big plus is if you freelance you can make your own days. You do not need to accept an assignment for every day. So as a mommy, I found that very very helpful. A drawback for me is that a reporter brings home a lot of homework, because everything must be proofread, and if you have small children, that usually has to wait for nighttime.

Also, I would not recommend going to learn it if you aren’t willing or able to put in many many many hours of practice. Learning the alphabet and keyboard is not that difficult, but getting up to 225 words per minute takes a lot of practice, outside of school hours.

If there is anything else I can be helpful with, feel free to ask.
