I just read in israel newswire that some russian millionaire bought Hitler Yemachemo’s car. It just made me nauseous. What do you think?

Sometimes a car is just a car. If the man thinks it is more valuable due to the infamy of his provenance, isn’t that his problem. Why destroy the car? It is not the car’s problem, it is a problem of some people’s belief system and values.

while i definitely understand and sympathize with your sentiments the way i understood it is that by collecting pieces of history makes him somehow cultured and important
think about it if your a billionaire you really have nothing else left to do in your life but try to get approval and acceptance from others who you believe to be above your humble beginnings so he is just trying to fit in and be a collector of history same thing goes for any objects that belonged to any murderous tyrant they still become valuable in the eyes of the bored rich people who have nothing better to do with their lives as time passes

An English teacher once explained to me that punctuation and clear writing is simply consideration for the poor soul who may have to read it. He said, “Have unbounded sympathy for reader, and you will be performing a kindness for all who read what you write, and your writing will improve.”
