I want to open a credit card but I have no existing credit. I was already denied from American Express. What’s a good credit card that will offer a lot of points towards airfare that won’t deny me?

You will need to first get a credit card that does not give points as those are easier to get approved and that way you will build credit. I think it hat store credit cards are most likely to approve eg Macy’s banana republic kohls etc. Also try discover or capitalone student if you’re a student. In general amex is hard to get approved and you’d be better off starting with any capital one / discover / chase (freedom, slate). Also good info on credit cards at dans deals website. See there about calling for reconsideration after you’ve been declined.

try a secure credit card from ur bank its an intresting way and it takes a little time to build up good credit but its effective. also if you get put onto somones card as and authorized user a parent or what not u can have a card and they view it as if u have their credit score or somehting like that i belive so the longer they have had the card the better and of course they shoulf have a good cc score and most of all when u get a card spend wisly!

I agree but it’s not for beginners, just google the basic questions and then after a while dansdeals will be a huge help

If you’re in college you’re probably eligible for Discover students card. You can see online your eligibility.
