No need to guess the body language tells you everything.November 11, 2010 8:29 pm at 8:29 pm #708868dunnoMember
I wouldn’t discuss it with the guy but it’s definitely interesting to watch…especially when you know the person!November 12, 2010 12:40 am at 12:40 am #708869melechalmakloMember
“which hotels are the best for dating in the city?”

“mandarin oriental – colombus circle”
That is a gorgeous hotel…
With an even more gorgeous Condo for sale upstairs 🙂November 12, 2010 3:53 pm at 3:53 pm #708871
Sac- thanks for the tip. I’m signing the papers today.November 12, 2010 4:10 pm at 4:10 pm #708872
How much did you close for 😉November 12, 2010 4:28 pm at 4:28 pm #708873
Why do you ask? Are you putting together a “comparable sales” argument for me already?November 12, 2010 4:38 pm at 4:38 pm #708874
Mainly because the asking price is 18.5M, and if you got that kinda money laying around….. this friendship is going to work out wonderfully 😀November 12, 2010 4:54 pm at 4:54 pm #708875WIYMember
Hi how are you? What’s doing? Maybe we should sit down for coffee one day? 😉
I doubt anyone with that kind of cash is sitting here on this forum. Well except for me that is…yeah I wish lol.November 12, 2010 5:01 pm at 5:01 pm #708876
Oh, so suddenly we’re friends?
I only had to shell out the down. I’ve got a big retirement fund 🙂
First let’s see you knock off more than 10% of the assessment, then we’re friends.November 12, 2010 5:35 pm at 5:35 pm #708877
WIY- Truly, I’m amazed at how this makes a difference – friendship is supposed to be altruistic.
At least Sacrilege can offer to help me with my tax assessment. What do you bring to the table?November 12, 2010 5:49 pm at 5:49 pm #708878
Seems like our friendship is in jeopardy.November 12, 2010 5:54 pm at 5:54 pm #708879
You’re not even willing to at least give it a try?November 12, 2010 5:58 pm at 5:58 pm #708880WIYMember
You are right. Give all your assets away to charity and then get back to me 😉November 12, 2010 6:03 pm at 6:03 pm #708881melechalmakloMember
gramercy park hotel – cool. slightly artsy. haute bohemian.
waldorf astoria on park ave- nice. traditional. classy
hudson hotel- near colombus circle. urban modern decor. slightly gritty. designed really well. cozy and beautiful sky terrace
the palace hotel – beautifully restored hotel. grand. looks like titanic interior.November 12, 2010 6:46 pm at 6:46 pm #708882
As much as we like to make fun of how stupid city agencies are, buying an 18.5M Condo and ten asking for a tax reduction… is a long shot. Maybe in a few years.
I actually looked at the assessment for the Hotel, it looks like they have some back years they havent worked out yet…. But, get a good reduction on what that is currently assessed at, everyone goes home happy.November 12, 2010 7:00 pm at 7:00 pm #708883
WIY- I said nothing of ascetism. But friendships should not be based on money. Only on whether or not your friend helps you reduce your taxes 😉November 14, 2010 12:34 am at 12:34 am #708884
Gramercy – great hotel. Always good for a celebrity sighting.
Plaza Hotel – The architectural design imitates that of medival french chateaux. There is so much history in the building (it is only 1 of 2 hotels in NYC to be awarded landmark status)
If you decide to expand your luxury Condo collection, there are 181 residential units to choose from ranging from 2.5M – 40M 🙂November 14, 2010 5:45 am at 5:45 am #708885
