For starters, yes, I am a Republican.
He was a better speaker, he was better prepared.
– At this point Jim Lehrer has already lost all control of the debate.
– I discover that the whole world is on Twitter and Facebook and watching the Yankees game, and watching the Orioles game, and watching the Debate. All at the same time.
Lehrer gives in, because he has once again, lost all control of the debate.
– Mitt Romney loves big bird.
– President Obama asks for his teleprompter back, as the stuttering and stumbling continues.
– Kanye Romney responds with a: Yo, Jim, Ima let you finish, but I should really get the last word” (@dannystofleth)
– By now it seems like Mitt has shown up for a debate, and the President has come for storytime (@Greggutfeld)
– By now Twitter is in frenzy because: People are getting all bent out of shape because Romney is telling it like it is. You call it attitude. I call it boldness. Oh politics… (@TweetsEncourage)
– Granderson makes it interesting, closing in on Miguel Cabrera for the Triple Crown. Only one homer behind. 245th homer of the year for the Yankees, a new club record.
– At about 9:48PM, it appears that the President has lost his Mojo (@deedeegop). Time for us all to refresh and see where things go.
– And yay, we are done with the first (three) topics. On to affordable care.
– The Yankees have clinched the AL East. All my attention is now on the debate. Joy.
– The President insists he has five more seconds, after Lehrer ends him. And then continues for another 60 seconds.
– Ugh. Thank you NBC for stating the obvious. @davidgregory – One hour in Romney is far more energetic and aggressive than the President.
– 10:06PM – @DanaPerino – maybe debate commission should add that little league rule – when the other team is that far ahead, you just call it a day
– David Gregory is very much Mr. Obvious right now – An Obama supporter just emailed to say he doesnt seem crisp in his presentation and he should after four years in WH
– Sidebar: Miguel Cabrera officially wins the triple crown.330 BA, 44 HR, 139 RBI.
– Jim Lehrer spends three minutes telling the candidates that there is only three minutes left. That worked out well.
– By the way, sometime during this debate @SilentJimLehrer appears on Twitter. Tweets just about nothing. Yet is still more effective than the real Jim Lehrer.
– Obama made a lot of great points tonight. Unfortunately, most of them were for Romney (@BillMaher)
– The only thing #Obama got right tonight was @MittRomney will have a busy first day as POTUS (@SashaFB)

So [Mitt] told all the words of the [Republicans] to the people who were asking for a [bigger government] from [for the people] [big government] who will reign over you: [it] will take your sons and appoint them to [foreign war]. 12 And [it will corrupt] for [itself] commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to [serve itself]. 13 [Your daughter will serve the government bureaucrats] 14 [It will increases taxes on] the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to [government] servants. 15 [It] will take the [40%] of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to [the officers of war] and to [government bureaucrats]. 16 [It] will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men and your [capital], and put them to [its own] work. 17 [It] will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be [its] slaves. 18 And in that day you will cry out because of your [bigger government]

October 4, 2012 9:54 pm at 9:54 pm #898595oomisParticipantI do not care for Obama. I am not sure how I feel about Romney, but he definitely creamed Obama in the first debate of the week. I caught Obama letting his facial guard down for a moment and he looked like he wanted to kill Romney. In contrast, Romney looked Presidential, confident, and respectful. He spoke intelligently and passioantely, and if the elections were held based on that one debate, I daresay many undecided votes would have turned the tide last night.
