What is a polite way to decline a shabbos invite for dinner or lunch?
I have a commitment to eat elsewhere.
Thanks for the invitation, unfortunatly I am doing ________________ on this shabbos
I don’t mish with you on shabbos.
My _____ is an excellent cook so I love to eat at home.
Why are you declining the invitation? If you never intend to accept it, it’s one thing, but if just not convenient, just say “Maybe another time.” If you decline enough times, they likely will stop inviting you.
“No, thank you.”
thanks, but no thanks.
Welcome back. 🙂
