Ask me a year from now when we have a list of candidates who are on the primary ballot. Many of them he 23 will have dropped out of the race by then.
I am not committing my time and or dollars to any of the candidates at this point.May 19, 2019 9:29 am at 9:29 am #1728817

Bernie would not be my first choice of the 23. But all speculation at this point is a waste of time. I will see how it shakes out before the CT primary and state convention. I will be a delegateMay 19, 2019 11:52 am at 11:52 am #1728932

I never asked who do you think will win the nomination I’m asking based on policy, electability etc.May 19, 2019 12:43 pm at 12:43 pm #1728993
I posted ask me again when it’s actually primary season. I am not bothering investigating all 23 because I don’t expect to have to choose between them on primary day in CT.
I would not vote for DiBlasio, Harris, O’Rourke. I can’t even name all 23 off the top of my head.May 19, 2019 2:48 pm at 2:48 pm #1729055

the current NYC mayor has no real national or international experience
We are currently suffering with a President who hails from NYC, not interested in another one
The Dems need a candidate who is more geographically acceptable than NY/NE/NJ
Guess that eliminates, DeBlasio, Sanders, Warren, Booker…….
I think Buttegig and O’Rorke are too young

2. I predict that each Democrat will find something wrong another did in elementary school and/or so much try to stake out an even more Leftist position (now that Fake Pocahontas is calling for reparations for blacks someone will have to offer the country back to descendants of the original inhabitants) that Trump will win in landslide and the DP will go the way of the Whig Party.May 21, 2019 5:10 pm at 5:10 pm #1730400

If Trump is still in office and runs for reelection I predict another close election. There country is very evenly divided going back to the 2000 Bush Gore election. With Bush losing popular vote and the court giving him an electoral college victory.
Trump will lose the Blue states no matter who is the Democrat candidate. Blue state voters are fed up with his retribution for their votes in 2016. Starting with an income tax plan made to punish us. Reneging on already allocated federal funds, etc.
I attended a Dem State Central committee meeting yesterday and there is an agreement among the members to not participate in any campaigning for primary candidates based on digging up dirt from the distant past, We have agreed as a whole to push the attributes of candidates. The opposing part will be the mudslingers. Wish this was the case in all states.May 22, 2019 10:09 am at 10:09 am #1731094
Bush won the popular vote in Florida and won the electoral college naturally at the voting booths. The Supreme Court simply denied Gore’s attempt to steal the election in the courtroom after losing it at the voting booth. Every Florida count, official and unofficial, showed a Bush victory. Even the leftist-media’s manual hand-count they conducted after President Bush was in office.May 22, 2019 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm #1731124ubiquitinParticipant
“Every Florida count, official and unofficial, showed a Bush victory”
Like most of your posts this one is simply false
A study was done in the months after the election and while bush would’ve won the recount of the questioned counties. Gore would have won a statewide recount (which granted he never asked for)
See “Tanner, Robert and Sharon L. Crenson. “Florida Review Shows Narrowest Margin The Associated Press, 11 Nov 2001.”May 22, 2019 12:46 pm at 12:46 pm #1731157ParticipantParticipant

1. Maybe your committee agreed but nobody else did – including the candidates who will probably multiply in the coming year.
2. I just saw an article in The Hill predicting that more leftist Dems in the House will push for impeachment. This will create a media circus with a boomerang effect.
3. You have not responded to my contention that the candidates will be goaded into staking out positions further and further to the left. This will scare moderate voters into Trump’s camp. The same thing happened in 2016. Hillary was ahead by ten points in the polls until she made a speech in which she declared war on religious freedom. This was even too much for The Washington PostMay 22, 2019 3:08 pm at 3:08 pm #1731280

” as well as the major manual recount jointly conducted by the major mainstream media showed that Bush won.”
Again, i’m not sure what recount you are reffering to. There was recount done by The National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago. This was funded by : the AP CNN, WSJ, NYT WaPO the LA Times, , Chicago Tribune and some others.
The yfound “no matter what standard is used, after a recount of all uncounted votes, Gore would have been the victor.” (quote from wikipedia end of page on “2000 United States presidential election recount in Florida”)
now again, Gore did not request a statewide recount, and had the recount of the contested counties not been interrupted then bush would have won , so it isnt quite right to sya the supreme court handed bush the election.
however it is also wrong to say ““Every Florida count, official and unofficial, showed a Bush victory””May 22, 2019 4:28 pm at 4:28 pm #1731503
I said punish Blue States, I did not say punish Democrats (don’t put words in my mouth),
Mass, CT, NY, NJ, CA are loaded with people who pay more than 10K annually in property tax and state income and sales taxes who are adversely affected by the new tax laws. The changes increased the CTL family tax bill by more than 25K for 2018

Last May I said ask me in a year when many of the then 23 will have dropped out of the race and you replied that Bernie will still be running.
After his heart procedure and cancellation of scheduled events, who knows it he will still be in the race.

Only time will tell if Senator Sanders will still be a candidate come the Democratic National Convention in summer 2020. If he is, mine is one vote that will not be cast for him (and yes I expect to be a delegate, as in the past).
BTW, your use of the word comrade is inappropriate. Senator Sanders is and admits to being a socialist, not a communist, they are quite different things.
