It is sad to see that this stupid argument wasnt put forth by just one democrat senator. Rather,by all, even some YWNCR liberals have used it. Its the attempt to discredit Trumps defense that many democrats have used the term “fight”, and portray it as a childish “whataboutism” defense. Here’s why.
Imagine you have a classroom with 2 bad students. They are both whispering in class. Teacher throws out just Student A. Student A complains, “but what about…” -THAT, is “whataboutism”. Now imagine Student A talks all day, every day, loudly, and teacher does nothing. Student B whispers just once, and is thrown out. Student B complains about student A…THAT, is NOT “whataboutism”. That is a blatant duel standard. That needs to be explained, addressed. Certainly so when we are dealing with elected politicians. Now besides for the fact that, as Trumps defense lawyers showed, Trumps “fight” comments were completely taken out of context, Democrat politicians have used the word “fight” all day, every day, with no problem. In fact, some have straight up called for violence. Many more, have at least supported it in some way or fashion. This impeachment was pathetic and disgusting. Only more disgusting, and scary, is the fact that Democrats calling for, and supporting violence, will not only never be held accountable(in this world), but they will be praised for their work.

The impeachment of Trump was a PR campaign for the dems, so ‘logic’ or ‘defences’ are irrelevant and off-topic.

That could be said about the Democrats, but what about the 7 RINOS

CA, you’ve answered your own question. “Rinos”

The stupid whataboutism defense put forth by defenders of trump was that trump can never be held accountable for his actions until the BLM rioters are prosecuted.
    That is moronic.

It is obvious that you and MadeAliyah did not listen to the trial.
Was OJ’s trial also a PR stunt since it was clear that the minority population was never going to convict him ? They came back with a verdict after an hour.

The Senate trial did not get the conviction of trump but it did convict 43 republicans of supporting insurrection and allowing every future president free reign after he is a lame duck to overthrow the government. MAGA.

They were probably afraid of alienating too many of their voters unless they joined the Democrats’ propaganda campaign.

Examine all fights of Trump from before the election that we must win or it is rigged in context. Even Mitch agreed on Trump’s incited insurrection guilt but pushed away the senate trial after Trump was out and argued that a former president cannot be convicted.

    Okay, now what?

Mitch doesn’t want to take sides so don’t take him seriously.

    >Did Trump ever say, you misunderstood me? I did not mean to fight physically, I meant it figuratively. Stop it. I don’t want you to hurt Pence.<

@jackk I guess the puzzle is too hard, so here goes:

    >The stupid whataboutism defense put forth by defenders of trump was that trump can never be held accountable for his actions until the BLM rioters are prosecuted.
    That is moronic.<
    Wrong.
When “defenders of trump” use the “what about BLM” defence, they are not asking for prosecution, they are asking for a single-standard.
To Dems that phrase has no meaning.
    That is moronic.

    >It is obvious that you and MadeAliyah did not listen to the trial.
Was OJ’s trial also a PR stunt since it was clear that the minority population was never going to convict him ? They came back with a verdict after an hour.<
    Wrong.
I did listen to the trial.
How does OJ’s trial have anything to do with this?

    >The Senate trial did not get the conviction of trump but it did convict 43 republicans of supporting insurrection <
    Wrong.
The Republicans who voted not to convict were not “supporting insurrection”, they did not believe Trump was guilty of inciting it, as the case against him was very weak.

    >and allowing every future president free reign after he is a lame duck to overthrow the government.<
    Wrong again.
A President who tries to “overthrow the government” will be prosecuted. Trump didn’t come close to doing that.

    >MAGA<
    Indeed.

    #1948095

Jackk, you completely missed the boat. The argument was never that Trump shouldn’t be convicted for crimes he committed unless blm is also. The argument was that, by democrats standards, trump never committed a crime. And this is even if his statements weren’t taken out of context-which they were.

“Whataboutism” and “don’t deflect” is what liberals says anytime you point out their glaring hypocrisy and double standards. Which is something you see on a daily basis because as the saying goes “If not for double standards liberal would not have any”. Which is why they have to come up with a defense which is essence saying “my mind is made up. Don’t confuse me with the facts”

A group of Student B supporters then Go roaming the School looking for Teacher to hang him while smashing windows. I’d be willing to bet that at least ninety of the Senators went into the process knowing how they would vote and had no intention on changing their vote no matter what evidence or argument was presented.

Not only blameless, he is a courageous warrior and admired fighter. He is the saviour of the school and he deserves to be the leader.

don’t be so baffled, you lost your grip on reality sometime mid Trump’s presidency based on most of your comments over the past year or so , your ability to separate fact from fiction, and fact from opinion has been seriously impaired

    #1948429

Ubi, your mashol is ridiculous,it’s based on the assumption that student a,(democrats) is completely innocent. Democrats use the word “fight” plenty, and much more explicitly as well. It’s also based on a supposed trump statement completely taken out of context, where he goes on to say that if the R politicians don’t listen, “we’re going to primary the hell out of them”. Nothing to do with violence. And even if you disagree with the statements I just said, your comments are still irrelevant to this thread. Because democrats wanted to discredit trumps defense by saying it’s “whataboutism”. That, by definition means, that for the sake of argument, we are going to agree with what was said,(my statements), only that it is a whataboutism defense. Which as I explained, is stupidity. Hope it’s not too complicated for you.
