How frequently must it be renewed, and is it a doctor visit every year (or whatever the frequency)?February 22, 2011 7:11 pm at 7:11 pm #743161A23Participant
Can anyone explain how it is that certain machers are able to obtain these without any actual disability? I refer to the vehicles littering Avenue J or 13th Avenue (usually with lights VAS plates affixed as well).February 22, 2011 7:38 pm at 7:38 pm #743162apushatayidParticipant
I live near a yeshiva with a simcha hall. someone at a bar mitzvah in the hall blocked my driveway and had a placard that read “on official nyc police business”. If you are entitled to a placard, dont abuse it. I’m fairly certain this guy wont use the placard in my driveway again – not after I told him I called the local precint and asked what official business required someone with such a placard to block my driveway, and I gave them the license plate – I didnt, but let him sweat a little.February 22, 2011 8:01 pm at 8:01 pm #743163600 Kilo BearMember

How about abusing lights and sirens, and going through red lights, and parking illegally, when you are late for the wedding?February 22, 2011 8:58 pm at 8:58 pm #743165ronrsrMember

600kb, where might I find such an item? Perhaps I need to walk into the Hatzolah garage and ask around. Interestingly, most have a Hatzolah placard (not DOT) in addition to the disabled one.February 23, 2011 4:27 am at 4:27 am #743167HadaLXTPMember
The law for PPPD’s: in order to use/display the Permit the person the permit is for, has to be in the vehicle or getting picked up or being dropped off.
