Have any of you out there who are divorced or in the process of divorcing used divorce mediation? My (ex)wife are trying the mediation process but I don’t think she really wants to mediate. For some reason I think she wants to go to beis din or court. All she wants to do is drag out the process…not sure why but mediation would seem to be much better for all involved (including our 4 kids).
The advantage to mediation is that you settle the issues in advance, so that when you go to the courts, there is nothing left to negotiate, so you can get the get and legal divorce “without a hitch.” I don’t know if it benefits everyone.

hatzlocho! Cant help you with any advice other than good luck and it should all go easily for you.
Bowwow – Even if you go to court, they force you to do mediation before anything else. Good Luck!
